Which Jazz, Older/Low miles or Younger/High miles?
« on: March 18, 2011, 01:43:37 PM »
Hello, can anyone help me decide between these two Jazzes, both are listed at £4250.

I read on the honestjohn site that younger/higher miles is preferable (but maybe these two are too close in age for this to apply?)

This one is 2005, 35,000 miles;

Or this one is 2006, 69,000 miles;

I'm leaning towards 2005 one, and I prefer the Gun Metal colour!

Cheers.

I would probably say go for the 2005 model (unless you really really want an Aux input, which came standard from 2006+). But if it was between a 2004 (pre-facelift) and a 2005 (facelift), I would have said go for the newer, higher milage one!

I bought a 2005 Top of the range Sport with 90k on the clock for £3760, because Honda's are renowned for their reliability and engines lasting for 100,000's! And also because the same car with 30k on the clock was selling for £6k :P!

Good luck with what ever you choose! But for £4250, the 2005 is a good buy, especially with such low milage!

Thanks for the advice, although now I'm thinking save myself a grand and go for this;

Still looks like the facelift model?

Yes that is a facelift model!

Looks like a good buy, just make sure you have a listen to the gearbox, as the gearbox bearings seem to go on the Jazz. Luckily the bearing went on mine when the previous owner had it, and it was replaced by Honda free of charge! But others aren't so lucky!

Make sure the car has been serviced regularly, and it should be a good buy!

Give it a good test drive and have a listen for any niggles. Use the milage to bring the price down, although £2995 is a pretty good price!

Good luck with your purchase!
