Hidden settings menu - does this exist on Jazz?
« on: November 29, 2022, 06:31:07 PM »
In another topic, a poster wrote:
"....In the Honda HRV there is a hidden settings menu which does include calibrating the guidelines. However there are many other settings there which would be best left alone…..! I assume the same will apply to the Jazz.
If you want to try this then from the ignition on position simultaneously press Home+Volume knob+seek backwards for about 30 seconds or so. Seek backwards is the left button below the volume knob. You will then see a screen with two choices..."

I will check to see if this hidden setting menu exists for the Jazz Mk4 (as released in New Zealand) and report back.

Activating Wireless Android Auto? That's cool! What other features are there in the secret menu?

Just done it on mine. I did have to delete Honda Bluetooth connection from my phone first and then reconnect and Android auto now shows on main screen.

In my case I didn't want to connect my phone by cable as I use that port to play USB music. I activated wireless Android and it works perfectly via my Samsung S10.

And I guess that if your phone needs charging you can use the dumb USB next door, and have easier USB music, cool.

Tried to get the hidden menu to display on the New Zealand version of the Jazz but no success.
A question: can this menu be accessed when the car is in Accessory mode (i.e. the Jazz is not in normal operating mode but the power is switched on so the infortainment screen is live)?

... The original instructions mentioned accessory mode I think but I'm sure I got it to work when the car was just started normally.
