a and b pillar black wrap

has anyone removed their b pillar black wrap and if so is there normal body paint that is clear coated or not

my vinyl is getting a bit scruffed up and i know you can buy replacement vinyl but i was thinking of running it with the paint

I dont know.   Chances are it will be lacquer and clear coat, especially if its sold without wrapping in some markets or trim level.   But it might have glue residue.   

Personally I would suck it and see.   Research sources of wrapping,  but take the old stuff off before buying. If the result is not suitable, or you decide  body colour doesnt look great after all, it will only be for few days.

it would be better if they were plastic like on the mk2 jazz and there is still a plastic c pillar cover on both mk2 and mk3
