I've been told by 3 dealers (pre Mk4 Jazz) that the Honda variable servicing is illogical and they always disabled it.
They'd all seen owners coming in within months of purchasing new, or after a service and reset, with only a few thousand miles on the clock with a dashboard service demand.
We've seen posts here, within the year, where a 'chassis check' was due, performed, with another servicing popup a very short while later for an A or B service.
I had my variable servicing turned off this week and I will follow the 12,500 miles or 1 year, whichever comes first. As a result my service book was stamped.
The last thing I want is potentially having 3 dealer visits within the year.
When I picked up my Jazz, day 2, it was saying 360 days, not 364 as expected, and a very short while later, probably less than a month, it was showing 190 days. At that time I had about 200 miles on the clock so I manually reset it. It then behaved itself and no popups even though the first year was due first week Sep.
