Maintenance message
« on: May 25, 2022, 06:42:39 PM »
Hello,
today the maintenance request light came on in 29 days,
but I don't understand why the writing also came out:

B: Frame inspection

Is it normal for this writing to appear?
Thanks for the info.
(Sorry for the mistakes I used Google Translate)

Yes, itís normal.

On the variable servicing scheme there are two different types of service - A and B.

My first service was a B service Ďchassis inspectioní but then I had to take the car back a few weeks later to have the A service oil change done as well.

Iím now on fixed servicing, so every 12.5k miles / 12 months they do the equivalent of A and B services together.

Hello,
but where is this maintenance information A or B indicated? I have not found in the use and maintenance manual where it talks about the possibility of choosing whether to do a fixed maintenance at km or over time, and I have not even found where it talks about A or B.
On which page do I find this information?
and how do i choose?
Thanks for the replies

If you look in the service book instead of the owners manual it lists all the things they check on an A and a B service.

I think all new Jazz and other Hondas come set to variable servicing as standard, but you can ask the dealer to switch to fixed servicing.

Here is the schedule from my car service book:

Hello,
thanks for the photo, I had only looked at the use and maintenance manual online, tomorrow when I go by car I will check my service booklet.
I don't know whether to choose the variable system or the kilometer system,
I do a few kilometers in a year, but in any case the car must go to the mechanic at least once a year in order not to make the warranty expire (for example on batteries).
Some advice?

For me, the fixed service is much better as I donít want to be going to the dealer any more than necessary.

If I had been on fixed service then one trip would have done the A and B service together, instead of having to bring the car in two separate times.

Having to visit a dealer, especially if they aren't local, must be inconvenient for some.

This variable servicing would be fine if it totally reset but there are posts here of a dealer visit then the maintenance pops up again within weeks to have something else done.

I'm having mine turned off in August at my first service.
Let's be careful out there !

Good idea! On my old 09 Jazz is turned off. I always have a service at my MOT so that's fine.
