Where does the creak emanate from?
If inside, usually it's best to have someone sit in the car with you, or better still, get someone else to drive it, while you go on a creak hunt!
I've had one rattle so far, which turned out to be the 3rd seat belt not being replaced properly.
Also, all kinds of rattles / creaks can come from items stored in the door bins etc. And, with the acoustics of a car, it's easy to be fooled about where the sound originates.
If you mean a creak from the brakes, then it's pretty normal (after it rains / or if there's moisture overnight). Some makes are definitely more prone to this symptom, but nothing to worry about. Things improve by spring / summer.
If another type of creak, we'd need to have more info....
