I'm one of those weird people who has two sleeps a night. Look it up, it's a thing. And it has become more prevalent as I get older. I might sleep from half ten to half two, then be awake for a couple of hours, then sleep again until my wife gets up.

Biphasic sleep. It was the norm before the Industrial Revolution.

Probably to do with people not having decent light and going to sleep earlier ( except in summer ).  Electric light has turned us into 24/7 creatures and played havoc with our natural body clocks.

Some people will only consider you an expert if they agree with your point of view or advice,  when you give them advice they don't like they consider you an idiot

I used to work as a maintenance engineer and on nightshift, once the routine work was done and the line was running we would all spend the rest of the shift on the internet.

Back in the early 70's a friend used to work nights along with 2 colleagues.

Their job was to electronically collect and collate the cigarette sales from all over the UK ready for a presentation to the directors the following morning.

At first it took all 3 all night but one of them wrote a secret program that did it in under an hour.

2 got their heads down whilst the third stayed awake to make sure it worked and finished.

It took 20 years before they got caught out and all 3 made redundant.
Let's be careful out there !
