FYI a full size wheel fits in the wheel well.  We have a fifth alloy and tyre
Same here!

Well there you go we could be neighbours.
Cost me £205.20, I still have the original receipt.
I would like £100.00.

I have tried to email you, but no good.
Perhaps you could email me and we could arrange to meet.

As I mentioned: The new shallow floor pan came for MY2020, so up to MY2019 there is space for a full size spare tyre.

I've recently brought a 2019 1.5 sport cvt that didn't have a spare. As I intend touring in Europe with it I sourced one on e bay, brand new with jack and nut cracker wheel brace for £89. It would have cost me more in extra Euro insurance without one plus some EU countries insist you have one. Tons on ebay for every model new and used.

I have recently brought a 2019 sport that does not come with a spare. Because i intend driving throughout Europe where in some countries a spare is mandatory plus most touring abroad insurance wants you to have one, I brought brand new from ebay a 16" compact spare wheel, jack and cracker wheelbrace for £89. Obviously the moulding in the well has to go but that gives more than enough room for the wheel, jack, tools, pump, tin of foam and a lot more besides. Mine has an anchorage point but I would not pay the £14 for the bolt and washer so made my own. I also had to find a piece of ply to place under the carpet as it is not self supporting without the moulding. Peace of mind for little money that will be more than repaid if i get a puncture somewhere difficult.

May I ask why you bought a compact spare? With a compact spare the speed is limited and you need to get the damaged tyre repaired or replaced pretty soon. A full size spare would enable continuing the trip as nothing happened.

Just replaced 2012 Jazz which held full size spare wheel in boot secured into the screw thread by by the usual  anchor plate.   Replacement Jazz is a 2019 1.3 SE which still has the screw thread in boot floor for securing full size wheel with anchor plate but the foam tool tray will not fit with a full size spare wheel.  If I buy a space saver wheel (compact) will this allow the foam tool tray to be used?  Shame if I have to abandon the tray.  Thanks.

There is a specially-designed foam tool tray for use with a spacesaver spare.  The car would originally have been supplied with a different tray for use without any kind of spare - this had a deep storage compartment as well as spaces for the odd tool, and left no room for any kind of spare. You need to establish which kind of tray you have. The previous owner of your car may already have changed the foam tray if they had a spacesaver.  There is a good picture of the spacesaver foam tray earlier in this thread, posted by Trebor1653

And of course a tray for full size spare exists too.

My 68 Jazz came with the bottle of shaving foam. Binned it and put a spacesaver bought online. Just about enough room for my trolley jack down there. I go to France regularly so didn't want to be stuck.

Thanks Downsizer.   I have the deep foam tool tray which cannot be used with my full size spare wheel and have now seen Trebor's picture of a shallower foam tray to accommodate a spacesaver wheel.    Can you tell me the shallow tray's part number and cost please?

Sorry!  I bought mine as part of a complete spacesaver kit from the dealer for about £195.  Someone else may know, and some forum members have improvised a boot floor support, avoiding the need for a foam tray.
