2017 Jazz, intermittent noise - after pedals released
« on: March 31, 2022, 04:23:57 PM »
I bought a 2017 Jazz in October, (about 17,000 miles on the clock when bought- 18,500 now), Since purchase I have had an infrequent intermittent quite loud noise that appears to come from the pedals after I have released them (a 'do-ng' sound as if a spring is released).

I am unable to replicate the noise intentionally and have not identified what causes it, recently it has appeared to have occured after a hill start. I wondered whether it possible to be linked to the start stop mechanism (which over winter has rarely been used, as often have the demister on, which may account for the infrequency of the noise).

I have taken the car back to the dealers today and a test drive and an inspection of the car found no fault (but reassured me, to a degree).

Has anyone else had a similar experience and resolved it?

thanks
