I was never quite sure what to think of Frank Williams as a person, I rather got the impression he wasn't the most friendly of characters, but that may well be misguided. Sad news anyway.

As for old cars, indeed whenever someone says how nostalgic they are for their old Morris/Sunbeam/whatever, I usually comment that (a) they were usually pretty awful things in reality, (b) you never want to have a crash in one.
I happened to pass a Morris 1000 today coming in the opposite direction, the stink of unburnt hydrocarbons was eyewatering (literally). A chap I worked with 30 odd years ago died in crash in a Morris 1000 on the M6, if he'd been in a modern car it's very likely he'd still be here. Be very careful in old cars (says me riding motorbikes....).

The NYPost lies between the Sunday Sport and the Lancet in terms of quality of its scientific and medical reporting, perhaps closer to the former

He had a reasonable innings considering the health implications of being wheelchair bound.
The success of his team; the size and diversity of the Williams technical centre in using f1 engineering outside f1 and not going after vanity hypercars ; getting a female to lead the f1  team ; and showing disability should not be an impediment to what a person does.
An impressive life.
Their factory museum is well worth visiting, even for the topiary.

On a macabre note, the picture of his rolled Sierra 1.6 shows how we should temper our nostalgia for cars of yesterday.
A modern car likely would not have left the road, and the structural strength and airbags of today mean very different outcome.

Thanks again; I am 5’ 7” so usually find a happy driving position with seat somewhat elevated, although I don’t like to sit close to the steering wheel - arms flexed but outstretched (if you see what I mean).
Looking forward to testing myself sometime in New Year. In the meantime I, and many others, would welcome any more thoughts on your driving experience of the HR-V.

Thanks for the review (although I'm not planning to buy one). The good mpg was probably helped by today's weather being warm. Did you venture down any wiggly rural roads which would test the RDMS?

Then if your all seasons wear out , or you are selling the car but want to keep the all season tyres you have the option of swapping back

My Cross-Climates were wonderful in terms of wear. On the car for 4 years (around 40,000 miles) and likely good for another 3-4 (not taking into account they'd be 8 year old tyres). Worth every penny!

Thanks. So strange they never light up regardless of which light position I use. Maybe due to the "full low beam" mandatory at daylight in Denmark, so maybe they are deactivated by an always activated 'full low-beam' in Auto mode - modification?

They are DRL's.
On when the ignition and engine is running.
They go off when the sidelights/headlights are on.

Honda Jazz Mk3 2015 - 2020 / Front bumper light or reflex?
« Last post by Sven on November 30, 2021, 06:27:54 PM »
Hi
I'm new to this forum, and actually new to forums.
I have bought a second hand Jazz mk3 with something that looks like white vertical lights in the far right and left side of the front bumper, but I cannot find anything in the
user manual on these nor in this forum, and regardless of which light I have activated they do not light up. Wondering if it is only reflective without any LED or bulp inside, or defective or me who cannot operate the car.
I have attached a pic to this post with the one light marked in red "circle". Hope someone can clarify if it can be turned on and how, as I'm curious to know if it is defective or just reflective. Thanks in advance.

BTW: I hope it is the right place I post, as mk2 is mentioned in the sub-topic description and it indicate "reply only", but then I cannot see where to post in regards to a MK3 question.
