Water dripping
« on: May 08, 2023, 01:25:55 PM »
I noticed that there was a pool of water under my car in direction of passenger front seat. I thought it was something to do with the AC system but I'm not sure. If I put engine on the dripping rate increases. I looked at my coolant level and it looks fine.  When I look at water patch it's definitely not oil or fuel. I have a video of it but don't know if I can upload it on here.

You'd be surprised how much water does drip off the engine AC in warmer weather.

Just the same as the back of a domestic fridge which has an evaporator tray. Cars don't have a tray as it just drips onto the road.
Let's be careful out there !

Definitely water from the AC in the position you describe. Can be a lot more than a drip.

Our Jazz has a large puddle of water under the condenser outlet every morning after use the prior day.
So have all my cars with aircon.
