Title: Rear wheel bearings
Post by: sparky Paul on July 09, 2018, 07:11:46 PM
The dry bearing noise from the rear which I have been trying to ignore for the last few months has finally developed into a nasty growl in this heat. Further investigation today has revealed one grumbly wheel bearing on the nearside, and the offside at least half as bad. So, two bearings ordered, and that should be sorted.

Well, I thought so, until I started to undo the back wheelnuts on the nearside and noticed a nasty looking bleb on the front nearside tyre sidewall. So, the Jazz is out of action until two new tyres are delivered tomorrow.

Other half swears she knows nothing about it, so it has to be the encounter with a rather nasty pothole about a month ago. The tyre was certainly good for the MOT three weeks ago, so it's popped up after that.

Thanks Jocko, I might need it.

I think I had better check the tracking too, if I'm putting a pair of tyres on.
