Murray Walker RIP
« on: March 13, 2021, 09:32:37 PM »
A sad day with the death of Murray Walker. He was my favourite sports commentator, and no f1 commentator has ever come near him for enthusiasm and style.
And there was always the "Murrayisms". My favourite was during torrential rain at Monaco. Murray came out with the classic "I imagine that conditions out there are unimaginable". The man will be sorely missed.

Agree with Jocko, Murray was indeed a ‘one-off’ never to be repeated legend.

His commentaries always made me smile and the Murrayisms were  part of his personality. Formula 1 on TV has never been quite the same since.

His passion and enthusiasm for Motosport was obvious and the partnership with James Hunt just worked, even they were complete opposites.

R.I.P Murray.

Murray was a real TT enthusiast I met him a few years ago and discussed the skills of IOM competitors driving the first 9 miles of the course. What life he led, there will never be another. We will miss his love of the sport.
