Wing mirror mount cover
« on: September 19, 2018, 04:21:25 PM »
My  Jazz EXCVT RJ63 NSE (registered 09.01.14) needs a lower cover for the n/s wing mirror which was broken in an exchange of wing mirrors. The actual mirror is fine and the indicator works ok and folds as normal. It is the black plastic shroud which sits below the mirror and covers the mount which is broken. I tried to get a part no from Lings Honda web site but it doesn't recognise the registration no of my car. Is this a main agent job?

Ling's, along with other parts suppliers, appear to only stock parts up to 2010.
Is this what you are after.

No, its the fixed part below the mirror which covers the metal mirror mount. Don't think I can post a picture on here but can email one if required

Speak to Honda, but I think you may have to buy a new mirror to get that part.

The black surround of the NS mirror for your car is 76255-TF3-N11 its £23.63 incl VAT.
Thou it does mean stripping down the majority of the mirror to fit it.

Part 19

Thanks Steve, that's very helpful - assume this is available from a main dealer?

I called in at my local Honda dealer today who tells me that the part I need is not available on it's own and only available as a complete unit costing £231 fitted!

Thanks to the ebay link I got a complete mirror assembly for  a quarter of the Honda part. Looking to fit just the broken part part I have a problem that the 6 wired multiplug is too large to pass through the hole in the gasket between the mirror and the door. I've looked at trying to remove the plug from the wires but cannot see how to release the wires from the plug - Are they moulded in to the plug or is there a way of removing them?

TIA Derek

The terminals are released from the connector by I clipping the outer part of the connector and then each terminal has a small latch which needs to be released with something like a pin or paper clip pushed from the front face of the connector. Make sure you note which colour wire is in which position before you remove them all.

On closer examination I found that the pattern part is not identical as the door mount cover is not detachable as it is on the original so I will be returning it. I also noticed that the connecting plug only had 7 wires compared with 8 on the original - don't know if that is significant. Looks like a Honda part is the only answer.
Thanks to all who have contributed.
