« Last post by smilertoo on December 15, 2018, 04:10:01 PM »
Does anyone know what happens if the hybrid battery dies?

1. the car wont work until you get a new battery.
2. the car runs on the engine but with worse mpg than a normal jazz automatic.
3. the car runs like a normal jazz automatic.

Replaced gasket today, just as well as coolant was capillary action up into one exhaust port. Cleaned egr with some carburettor cleaner, refitted, still hunting for revs at idle and worse in park! Any more ideas anyone?

Another vote for the torch tip. Must remember to keep a spare window cleaner bottle also.  :)

The component would be available from a breakers as long as you know exactly what you you want.
I would suggest that it is not feasible because of the complexity of the installation.
There is a lot of pipework under the bonnet plus the compressor and different accessory drive belt. There is a lot of wiring and components both under the bonnet and under the dashboard.
Good luck.

Vic.

I tackled this today.

First problem I ran in to was getting the radio out was a pain. It needed a good shove and pull to get it to come out once the screws were out.

I bought 4 t4.2 LED bulbs off ebay. The problem with them was that the bit the LED sits on was too big. I had to sand it down to make it fit through the hole on the PCB. I even had to take off the plastic back so I could directly get at the PCB.

I managed to sand all 4 LEDs and fit them in. This took a lot longer than I had hoped. I then took the PCB out to test it and only one of the LEDs lit up. This is when I find out that they have to be fitted the right way round. So more time turning them around.

I took the radio off and pull thed bulbs out of where the volume knob is and I have now got them on order.

I put the radio back in the car and it all works apart from now the buttons are a different colour to the rest of the dash.
I managed to drop one screw down the back when trying to get it back in the bottom of the radio. Hopefully I can get it when I do the volume knob.
Did you mange to fix the light around the volume knob? If so, how? Is it similare bulbs that you used for the climate controll?

Honda Jazz Mk3 2015 - / Re: Polish for New Jazz

I like this quote from Culzean: "IMHO life is too short to polish cars,"  Enough said; as long as the bodywork keeps the rain out, I'm happy.  Sadly, it gets scratched whether or not it's washed and polished!

Thank you all so much for your replies, plenty of reading up to do on the products recommended.

Does a new Jazz come with any polish already applied the the bodywork before it leaves the factory ?

Just wondering if it's best to apply additional protection soon after getting the car before the hard winter gets a grip.

Most dealers normally offer a coating on fairly new cars they sell ( for around 300 ),  both for the paintwork and the seats (some kind of nano-coating like diamondbrite and maybe 3M Teflon or similar for upholstery ).  As I said the dealer applied diamondbrite has lasted at least 5 years on our cars and still working,  that works out at around 60 a year for the Jazz ( although on the Civic the dealer threw it in for free as part of the deal).

The fuse location diagrams are normally inside the lid of the fuse cover, although some owners say they are not on theirs.

and this one has wiring diagrams

Honda Jazz Mk3 2015 - / Service Reminder System
« Last post by peteo48 on December 15, 2018, 11:11:20 AM »
Just wondering if my system is faulty. The car had it's first service in January this year at the dealership before I bought the car. In fact they had done it 2 months early. On the 10th of January next year it will 12 months to the day since they last did it.

The warning has already activated because we are now less than 30 days away but it is just showing B. This implies little more than a safety check - not even an oil and filter change which I thought was mandatory at either 12,500 miles or 12 months whichever comes sooner.

The issue is further complicated by the fact that I have a service plan with the car and this indicates a fairly major service at the 2 year mark including changing the automatic transmission fluid.

My last Jazz had the system disabled but just wondering if anybody else has had a similar experience.
