I thought alloy wheels were supposed to weigh less than steel wheels, so there is less work for the shock absorbers to keep the wheel on the road?

depends how much you spend on them tbh. expensive ones like rota, oz, etc will be lightweight..but mines were £220 for the 4 (+ extra for tyres shipping etc), and are a little heavier than the steels, abuot maybe 2kg each heavier.. car still shifts quicker with them due to thicker and better tyres :)

yeah haha exactly the premium on great alloys is extortionate.
