Engine turbo
« on: March 30, 2016, 01:23:19 PM »
Hello,

I have a Jazz for 3 years now with the L13z1 engine, recently I made a trip on AutoBahn and I felt out of power. I did some research and I found out that I could mount some turbo kit but I couldn't find a dealer or a proper shop to get more information or prices on this.
Does someone know where I can bump the power up ?

Big job but the L13 can take low boost with no trouble.
You need a specialist to have a look since the car will need remapping afterwards.
I looked a few years ago and instead of doing the work, I bought a petrol vehicle turbo'd from factory...

The turbo might give me up to 130 hp, and it's really difficult to find one now. So I was thinking maybe an engine upgrade, L15B EARTH DREAMS or if there is place for it L15B7 from Civic.

Problem is also where to find these engines  :D

I would say unless you can source and L15 from USA, put a K20 in as they are available by the dozen and feel the NA Vtec! :D
