Newbie questions about keys and radio
« on: March 03, 2024, 03:53:51 PM »
Hi everyone, just got a 2011 Jazz and have a couple of questions which have probably been asked a thousand times already but which I can't really find in the search area.

1. Where's the best place to get a spare key, or how easy is it to get a new key coded in?

2. When I switch the radio on it asks for the code whci I don't have, I've pressed the 1 and 6 button to get the serial number, and when that's displayed if I press button 2 the radio works. Is there a way of deactivating the code with the radio working.

I've tried a couple of online sites that offer free radio codes but have not had any responses.

Being tight with money what's the cheapest option for both.

Thanks in advance

Hi, and welcome.  My radio code is in my handbook folder, with the service record and handbook

Sorry, should've said I don't have the service book. I've contacted the DVLA to see if they will let me know the previous keeper details so I can contact them to see if they still have it and the service book.
