Hello,
On my wife's Jazz, the headlight leveling system no longer works.
It is a GG3 year 2011 with halogen headlights.
Last year in the fall it was still working. However, we noticed that it was spinning a bit. I felt like whenever it rained hard, both motors would adjust the headlights up and down ever so slightly with the ignition on, without adjusting anything. It didn't matter if it was while driving or stationary.
Now neither headlight can be adjusted.
Fuse is ok.
Leveling switch: measured (Pin2/4 4,58kOhm - Pin2/3 0,49kOhm; 1,73kOhm; 2,38 kOhm; 3,11 kOhm) - ok.
Measured each driver/passenger side cable to actuator for headlights:
Battery voltage 12.2V (light green) - measured at connector 11.8V - is 0.4V loss - OK?
Continuity measured to ground (black) - ok.
Leveling switch set to 3 and measured purple against ground - should be 2.9kOhm or 3.1kOhm - measured 1.28kOhm. At both plugs for the headlights and also no matter which setting I make at the leveling switch.
If i turn the ignition on i measure an infinitely high resistance. - so i think purple is the problem. but why? measured from the plug for the leveling switch to the plug for the leveling motor - ok.
Can someone help me, where the error is?
Edit: Where is the ground G501? Cant find it in the manuals.
