Wiring diagram for air con/engine fans
« on: June 21, 2018, 09:46:58 AM »
Hi,

Just bought a 2010 ES, and I have to say I am impressed so far at what a versatile little car this is.

So onto my first question... the (very noisy) electric fan seems to run a lot.  I'm thinking it is on permanently when the air con is on?  Would that be it?  Is there no temperature sensor in the circuit?  I guess the real question is are there wiring diagrams available online, so I could take a look?

Thanks
Nick

Welcome. As soon as the air con fan starts the engine coolant fan also comes on. I'm sure one of the Mk 2 owners will point you in the direction of a schematic.

The aircon fan starts when the aircon compressor starts and cycles on/off roughly every 10 seconds.
