Thank you button
« on: December 06, 2012, 08:46:42 AM »
Hi everybody
I'm a recent member and haven't figured out how the "thank you" button works yet, am I missing something?

You just press it when something in a member's post assists you in solving a problem

If you are viewing the forum on an iPad not via Tapatalk, the Thank You buttons seems not to work.  Its ok on a Windows and Linux computer

Checked my profile and no sign of any thank you's either way.
I'm using windows 7 and IE9, do I need to change any settings, when you click the yellow icon, should there be any reaction / confirmation?

Steveshaw, you will see how many thank you's you've received and made in your Profile. You haven't made or received any yet so it's set to 0. There are no settings to be changed.

Chrisc, thanks for pointing that out, I'll look into it. It works fine in Chrome on my Macbook Pro and in Safari.

I've also noticed the number of Thanks is not displayed next to posts.

Richard, is there any chance of changing my name so it begins with a small "c" and not caps please?  When I joined I was using an iPad which capitalises all first words.

Thanks

Yes you should but I can't get it working so you have to view the number of Thanks in each Profile.

But that is progress/software upgrade.  3 steps forward and 2 back, then the revision to fix what was inadvertently broken.  Certainly applies to Windows

The problem with the Thank You post modification is that fixing one problem causes another!
