Finding out car paint colour
« on: September 02, 2023, 01:39:33 PM »
Unfortunately,my wifes Jazz 2013 suffered a glancing blow to the rear o/s bumper last night.
Its really just a scrape and I think with some T cut and elbow grease,it shouldnt look so bad.
Some of the paint is missing so I may need some touch up paint/spray to try and hide it a little.
Its mettalic brown but not sure of the exact colour.
Could someone point me in the right direction to find the exact colour please?
Many thanks

Have a look at the B pillar after you've opened the passenger door.

There should be a plate in there that includes the paint code.
Let's be careful out there !

I ordered some touch up online which was a poor match.

Had to redo with some ordered from the Honda dealer which was spot on , they only needed the reg. number.

I have always found the Halfords one a good match, and it's nice thin paint which is easy to blend in / spray.

If it's on a bumper and are brave enough just use the Halfords rattle can type and give it a good shake, then spray from about 15cm away in quick bursts over the area. Don't try and make it perfect in one go and you cant go far wrong.
