Top upper glove box
« on: September 13, 2021, 09:05:59 PM »
Has anyone found a good use for this?

It’s a funny shape and the owners manual doesn’t fit, so I’m not sure what to put in there.

Looking at the underside of the lid, it’s not very deep.

We currently have a telescopic umbrella in there. I'm sure that given a few months use of the car there will be the usual collection of old carpark tickets, sugar sachets, wooden forks from fish and chips, assorted pens, (some of which will work), USB leads and an empty TicTac packet.

Post-it notepad and pen and a facemask. I also lined the base with non slip matting.

Manual pack in lower box.
Let's be careful out there !

I did find a Japanese advert for a rubber anti slip mat to fit in the box - they show sunglasses, a phone… or a pack or cigarettes and a lighter!

I think quite a few people there still smoke.

It's amazing how we find uses for all the nooks and crannies in a car.... :)

I think it is for a can of pop, as far as I remember there is an opening in the side that will blow cold air from the air con to cool the drink

We keep a tin of sweets  in ours. Very handy as it keeps them upright.

Does no-one keep gloves in the glove compartment except me?

They tend to be the plastic disposable ones you get at the petrol station, when you pul one out and three come all at once.

I think that was a Mk2 EX thing only.
