Australian Head Unit modification possible?
« on: August 14, 2021, 11:07:12 AM »
Hi everyone,
So I have a Honda Jazz VTIS 2016 from Australia.
I've been searching across the internet for hack tutorials on the lackluster head unit (no GPS), but all of them appear to be out of my scope.
They all talk about Android, HondaConnect etc. But I do not have HondaConnect... my head unit doesn't appear to to be Android, it sounds like the head units in Australia are quite different.
I can enter a diagnostics menu by holding Menu+Eject+Power, and from this I have found the Application model number: 1.DY02.64.
This forum is my last post for hope, seems like such a waste to have a head unit that is locked down to the high heavens.
Thanks!

I don't know about the Jazz range but the 2006 - 2011 Civic head units, non Android, have been successfully replaced using a 'Connects2' wiring loom.

Let's be careful out there !
