Hi, I've been quoted £600 to replace the AC Compressor and belt on my 2009 Honda Jazz, and would like to find out if that's reasonable? My aircon had stopped working a few days back and after a long trip, i heard a terrible gratting noise and then some smoke. Oil and water were both fine, mechanic let me know the AC Compressor has seized and damaged the belt. Both will need repalcing. Grateful for any help. Thanks

I was quoted £500 for something similar about five years ago on my Mk2 Jazz!

I'm not sure if its a pig of a job to fit but £150 labour doesn't sound too bad.

(you may get part cheaper elsewhere but P4L /ECP are usually very reasonable)
