That £75 for 4 litres is daylight robbery

Just log into MK2 2008 to 2015 forum and search engine oil,  it is the biggest can of worms you will ever open  :o

Honda recommend a range of oils.
I have used 0w-20 and 5w-30. I refuse to pay over £25 for an oil change .

No change in any engine running/fuel consumption etc.

I just paid £37 for 5 litres of oil, the most I have ever paid. The only reason I did so was I had bought 10 litres a couple of years ago, at a ridiculously low price and I wanted the same for topping up, etc.

Castrol Magnatec is the oil many Honda dealers use for a service, they buy in bulk, If you do not wish to spend the money for Magnatec, then it is worth visiting Halfords or Tesco, Tesco sell synthetic oils at  £20 for 4 litres, reading the specifications printed on the product, the Tesco oils tick the boxes, we are lubricating  a Jazz engine , not a turbo-charged 911 Porsche with sky-high oil temperatures

Exactly,  way too much fretting about oils on this ( and many other forums )... The older air cooled motorbike engines used to destroy engine oils,  Brit bikes in hotter parts of USA used to be infamous for it.  With a water cooled engine the oil temperature is kept well under control,  and of course semi and fully synthetic oils much better, pretty much impossible to buy a bad oil these days,  but the ultra-thin 0W-20 and below tend to be pricey compared to 5W types - and of limited benefit in our temperate UK climate ( I may use them if I lived north of Arctic circle ).

£36 from euro car parts

with free delivery

As Culzean has shown it’s easy to find differing prices from eurocarparts and carparts4less.
They are the same company. Find what you need from one company, copy the item code and paste it into the search on the other. You’ll often find the exact same item is cheaper from carparts4lees.

I picked up a can of that same oil from EuroCP yesterday for around £22 with the discount code.
It was for a Mini 1.4 which seems to have a drink problem (oil that is). The owner is "mature" and doesn't drive it hard at all, apparently some of those 1.4 engines drink, others don't (online forum comments). I'm confident it'll do the job fine while it's still in the engine, it's definitely better than nothing (which is what was in there)..
