E-10 petrol
« on: July 17, 2021, 03:31:28 PM »
I have a Honda jazz 2003 1.4i and was wondering if anyone knows if I can use the new E10 petrol in it. I've looked on the gov.uk website but it's as clear as mud.

I thought exactly the same. Looks like it was written by their lawyers with the aim over covering their ars*s not informing the public.

Fortunately as I understand it all Jazz's are OK. That cryptically described fuel injection system is the standard Honda one.

Or is it? What do you think?

From what I understand, if you have programmed fuel injection (PGM-FI) and not carbs then you should be OK.

Let's be careful out there !

It will run fine.

The 2 oxygen sensors before and after the cat adjust the fueling as needed. They constantly monitor for a lean or rich mixture so shouldn't be any issues.

Only advice is to ensure you clean and gap all the spark plugs each service. That way ensure a good strong spark and top efficiency.
