It's one of the 1st  checks I do when testing a used car. Agree with Jocko re Fiat horns.

I can't remember the last time I used the horn
I used mine this morning approaching a blind corner on a single track country lane.

A friend switched his OEM horn for a set of quad air horns.

At an MOT the mechanic blasted the horn and frightened the life out of all the other mechanics :)
Let's be careful out there !

Well, used the horn for the first time today. Not great but does the job. It was to warn a cyclist riding in the middle of the road, no hands on the handlebars and texting on his phone (I am not kidding).

begs the question, is a friendly 'pooping' tone for the horn more socially acceptable than a nasty aggressive blare, and ultimately just as effective as a warning noise/ :-\

If I had my way I would fit a claxon under the bonnet. Trouble is, that dinky Jazz 'motorbike' battery would expire.

I was thinking more Dukes Of Hazzard, really popular with the Woke Patrol.

I remember when every second car had a D of H horn, then they changed the regs so that all notes had to sound together. My Maserati air horns were just two discordant notes.

Friend has been moving a set of quad air horns from car to car.

He was told at a recent MOT and service that one mechanic was tinkering in the engine bay whilst another was doing the MOT. When he tested the horn the one in the engine bay banged his head on the bonnet :)
Let's be careful out there !
