Greetings from Iceland!
« on: March 29, 2021, 09:08:51 PM »
Hello everybody.

I bought a used MK1 2007 last summer. I've got to say that the longer I've had this car the more I've started to love it. It's excellent to drive, very easy to park and I even managed to change the disc breaks the other day myself. Had never done that myself but it was an easy task after viewing a simple Youtube guide on the subject.

Now seeing that this isn't the latest model of the car I figured it might be a good idea to become a part of this community here if I were to do any more labor on the vehicle. I've had plans to install some good speakers and maybe, just maybe, a subwoofer for some extra fun. I'm in my 30's never had the chance to have this loud music setup. It's an old dream of mine and even though I might come off as an annoying teenager I'm actually not to bothered about that. I won't be playing it loud in residential neighborhoods how ever and this won't be to pick up some ladies. I don't think it would be an effective pick up strategy for women in my age group. So I will most likely have to play it loudly when I'm on the highway. Which works out fine seeing that I travel quite a bit in this lovely car.

I have modification ideas so yeah. That's why I'm here and after going through the site this community appears to be very friendly and positive in general so I figured I'd be a part of it.

Looking forward to spending more time here.

All the best!

Welcome. I have a 2006 Jazz, and it is a great little car. Fun to drive and very fuel-efficient. Join in the chat and let us know what it is like driving in such an extraordinary country. It was always my intention, but it never worked out. When I was based in Leith, the "mv Gullfoss" made weekly sailings, and I always wanted to travel up that way.

Welcome to forum! I'm sure your Jazz will prove to be a nice car on Icelandic roads as well. Well, maybe not for F-roads  ;D

Iceland is such a nice country! We travelled there some 15 years ago, drove around the Route 1. I hope you don't mind me asking where in Iceland are you located.

Welcome.
As you're thinking about upgrades you should have a look at the fitfreaks forum too.

Welcome to the forum.  :D

Iceland seems like a very interesting country. On the places to try and visit one day.

Big Bjork fan. From her time in the Sugarcubes to the present.

I hope you don't mind me asking where in Iceland are you located.

I'm located in Reykjavík close to where the eruption is currently taking place. I went to see it the other day and I must say it's quite the sight. Will have to go again sometime this week. The lava buildup had gotten so big in the valley where the volcano originated that new cracks have opened up around the area where new flows of lava have started streaming down into the landscape.

Thank you all for the warm welcome!
