Seem to remember previous post on ishift issues recommend correct spec oil every 25k or 2 yes, that a 1st step.

Today, I changed the trasmission fluid ( mk2 manual) and checked the oil container. The Honda oil part No.0826799902HE is for a manual gearbox. MTF stands for Manual Transmission Fluid. I wouldn't want anyone to order the wrong stuff !

Hi Dave...I also have a 2009 Jazz EX ishift and my gearbox behaves in the same way you describe, depending on speed, gradient and degree of acceleration. Under hard acceleration, there's a sort of false 'kickdown' that holds a lower gear until a higher - or maybe two or even three higher gears - is appropriate. It then changes to the right gear depending on speed, degree of throttle applied and gradient. The same effect occurs when decelerating downhill or approaching junctions. I tend to drive on the paddles 90% of the time anyway, when each move of the paddles is in one gear increments, up and down. In short, I don't think you have a problem at all!
