Well.....I'm sorry folks, I couldn't wait and needed to change the car. Dealers wanted to sit me in a new EX only at some ridiculous price. Late model pre reg not much choice on EX and no packs fitted.

Sorry here goes the apology...gone into a Nissan Note DIG-S. Same size as the Jazz as only have a small drive at home. We'll see how the next 2 years go or even before if its a bad move and go back to Jazz. At £4,500 off list price and Nissan dealer gives me an extra £400 more on the trade in than any Honda dealer on top of that, it was a no-brainer.

Until next car change, enjoyed the forum - its been a 'blast'.

All the best........

Maybe you could come back here to let us know how the Note compares to the Jazz?

I like the Note, it runs 'strangely' (you think compared to normal) as its a 1.2L, 3 cylinder supercharged engine. Even sounds rougher when its in economy mode. Max power output though is the same as Jazz. Too early for accurate MPG but had 60mpg on long run.

Miss the full panoramic roof and the magic seats!

I thought the 1.5 diesel engine only was Renault's?

its underpinnings are a renault modus so your guess is as good as mine, i would have got the kia rio instead but you got loads off the list price

Although the residual on the Note will be less than the Jazz, I've saved over £3,500 to change car to the Nissan so that could go towards bridging the gap back to Jazz if I need to.

I saw the new Nissan note the other day and is it me or does this car look exactly like a Honda jazz?

If it wasn't for the Nissan badge you would mistaken it for the next Honda Jazz.........

Haven't noticed the similarity before
Likely just a rebadge

Actually, more than one person has said...oh, you've got a new Jazz!!

Take the badges of front/rear and wheel centres and they are VERY similar.

The only reason I can think of for the delay is Honda are keeping Swindon with work until the Civic Type R gets going. It's unlikely to have anywhere near the same volume level as the Jazz, but the CTR should be more profitable per unit.

I think the UK dealers are trying to shift the current models before the launch, unlike Skoda who are quite happy to retail Fabia old & new in showrooms.
I would be interested to see the price hike in UK...., the new Fit CVTin Japan under £11k

Just got an email from Honest John. He gives a list of new models due in 2015 across the whole industry and Honda have 3. The Jazz isn't one of them. Might just be a mistake but it seems odd that they are delaying its intro for so long.

Hi - we went to the local dealership on Saturday, having a nosy at the CR-V's.  The salesperson who came out to the car park said that an email had come in that the new Jazz won't be out until early September - just in time for the new reg and the HRV would be slightly later maybe October?
