Honda Jazz - Coefficient of drag
« on: July 09, 2018, 06:58:51 PM »
I was driving down the motorway today on cruise control and I got to thinking has the coefficient of drag for the Jazz improved over the years. Does the spoiler and the defuser on the Sport make any difference?

From what I found on the Fit forum the GD was 0.36, the GE 0.336 and the 2015 0.33. Cannot find numbers for the 2018.

Now 0.33 is very good for such a short boxy car. Apart from the Spoiler and defuser on the sport the body shell looks identical  on the 2018 models. I can't see that the new light clusters at the front would make any difference to drag.

I would imagine the Sport would have a slightly better drag ratio. The lower the drag coefficient the better the fuel consumption at speed.
