2003 Model - Corrosion on Alloys
« on: September 18, 2009, 10:06:30 PM »
Getting corrosion around the centre hubs or all 4 alloys of model year 2003.
Is this a common problem?

I seen it before, so possibly.

Have the wheels been refurbished at some point? I think corrosion can set in from damaged sections or sub-standard refurbs could lack proper corrosion protection.

Tyre fitters have been known to chip the wheel when removing the centre cap to replace the tyre. It wasn't until someone posted on here that I sussed where the small chip near the centre cap came from.

HI the Honda manual advises to fit copper slip grease to this area ( My Jazz did not have this and it took me 2hours to remove all the wheels for a service)
