Paint chipping on boot

Has any one else suffered from paint chippings on the boot at either side of the handle?
I think it may have been caused by the previous owner pushing on the cover near the ends.

Ive now got some on the cowl above the handle.........raised the boot lid in the garage and then closed the garage door down on to the boot lid without looking.........more expense.......... plastic of course and it looks like the cowl would unclip and come off that would make it easier to paint anyone taken the cowl off ????.....:(

As i got the camera out for another post, i thought i would add a photo to this post.  I hope this isn't a common problem.  I have fixed it by taking the handle cover off and touching up the scratch.  Before I replaced the cover i put a little bit of foam on the back of the cover.  This can not be seen so hopefully will do the job.
