2021 Jazz Crosstar - Control Error Messages
« on: December 07, 2022, 04:59:01 PM »
I'm having control system error messages on my Jazz - 5 in all covering problems of Collision Mitigation, Adaptive Cruise, Lane Departure, Auto High Beam lights and Road Departure. The dealer assessed it as needing a software update, which has been done twice now (in two separate visits) and the messages have now returned a third time. Anyone else had this? It's going back to the dealer a third time. Really frustrating!

Collision Mitigation, Adaptive Cruise, Lane Departure, Auto High Beam lights and Road Departure.

All 5 depend on a properly working front wide view camera.
Another system that depends on that camera is the traffic sign recognition system. Does that system do its job?
If nothing goes right, go left!

When the errors pop up, is this early morning when mist and moisture can get into the camera area ?

Doesn't occur again after the interior warms up ?
Let's be careful out there !

If it was a software error then other owners would have had it, sounds like the dealer is clutching at straws. I assume the recent recall change has been done as that affected the front camera? It could be a glitch in the computer hardware dealing with the camera, they could try replacing the camera first to eliminate that.

Thanks, good point. Once the error messages start traffic sign recognition does not work. None of the systems with the errors are functional. Seems the front wide view camera is faulty rather than a software issue.

Once the errors start they do not go away, no matter the situation.

Almost certainly a camera malfunction, and warranty fix  :(
