How do the parcel shelf support attach to the boot lid?
« on: February 02, 2022, 12:26:31 PM »
My parcel shelf strings attach to the edge of the metal in the boot lid using these clips but they don’t appear to fit well and slide around and fall off. It doesn’t seem to be the correct attachment, can someone show me what is supposed to be used as the attachment method?

Thanks. I think what I’ve got is a later bodge.
I have had a search and can find some original Honda clips for sale online but they are £7 each!!
I’m going to try and find a car in a breakers to get a few of these small parts that are missing.

Sounds like a good plan.

Just as an update - I went to the nearest scrap vehicle and it had none of the parts I wanted (need a new petrol cap as the wire is snapped, plus an air box clip and some mats) so I found the part number for the parcel shelf brackets and ordered them from my local dealer.
Not worth the £10 for the pair I think but I could spend a lot more time and fuel going to other scrap cars and getting nothing!
Ordered the air box clip off eBay for £3 BTW.  :D

As regards the snapped fuel cap lead it can be super glued back together using a piece of suitable plastic tube.Keep watching your local breakers yard used Honda parts fit just fine.
