Turtle Wax Hybrid Ceramic Wash and Wax
« on: January 29, 2022, 12:31:01 PM »
Bought some of this in December. It's yet another wash and wax product but, in my experience, this actually works. You use quite a lot - 3 fluid ounces per gallon - and it doesn't foam up that much - but it definitely leaves a significant coating behind.

You rinse the car with a hose then wash the car as normal with a wash mitt or similar. It tends to soak the surface - ie it doesn't seem to bead. When you come to rinse off then - wow! The water beads like crazy. You can then wet dry the car using a gentle flow from the hose and the water just slides off. Finish off with a microfibre towel and your car looks as if it just been waxed.

I'm aware this sounds like an advert but I've been blown away with this stuff.

I've been using Turtle Wax ceramic wet wax spray from the same range, I've found it to be excellent too, really simple to apply.
Beads like crazy and the car seems to stay cleaner for longer before needing washed again.
I'll be buying it again.

I think some people use the product you are describing with the Ceramic Wash and Wax as a drying aid. I'll have to try some.

Currently I just use standard wash'n'wax, dry off, then go over the whole lot with a good quality waterless wash with carnauba wax. That has the desired effect of removing any missed water spots and makes the paint surface high shine and slippery so the microfibre just slides off the bonnet when dropped.
Let's be careful out there !

Happens sometime, this time both together but a page search sometimes gets the different price
