Probably this doesn't affect all mk1s since I found no mentions of this. Just people looking inside glove box or behind dash... But it's such an easy fix!
When I cruised the highway on the speed limit or slightly above (we have some slack up to 140km/h if behaving) a noise would come from the right front side. Not related to road quality, just speed.
Turns out the overlap on the window rubber was not completely fixed. Peeled it back, added some silicone glue under and on the side and problem solved!
