My wife started back to work this morning, the first time in 15 months. So we were up at 05:15 and I drove her to work, just like old times. I can see my mpg taking a real hammering now. After returning home I checked the ScanGauge and, from a cold start, I did 3.8 miles at an average speed of 18 mph. Fastest speed reached was 28 mph.
So I will have that twice a day, eventually for 5 days a week.
Trips to visit my mother-in-law are also no more, as one member of staff in her care home has tested positive so they now go into lockdown for 28 days before visitors are allowed back in.
