New caliper time
« on: December 28, 2020, 09:39:46 PM »
Ok, so the o/s/f caliper is sticking so I removed and cleaned the carrier and clips, filed down the pad tabs as they were very tight in the carrier this was a few weeks ago.
Thought I had fixed it but it's sticking again...   :(
So I have ordered a new caliper for £33 off Ebay and some new pad clips. I will try and clean the carrier more thouroughly as well using a dremel and wire brushes, having read other threads I feel that I should be ok to do this myself, famous last words.
Couple of questions tho...
How much brake fluid can I expect to lose when changing the caliper? I will bleed this myself. I will ask a make to do a complete system bleed when he can so how much fluid is needed for that and also what make if oe fluid very expensive?

Thanks.
