Honda Jazz Mk4 2020 - / Re: 12V battery flat

Was the battery fully charged ?

Often the dealer just gives them a basic charge and it does take some weeks of discharge/charge to get it up to par.

Without that charge I could see a 2 week sit taking enough out of it to refuse to start.

If you can, get a CTEK and keep it charging till the CTEK goes green.

HONDA JAZZ HATCHBACK 1.5 I-MMD Hybrid EX 5dr eCVT (20-) new 28/5/2021. Telematics unit was activated on 8/6/2021. Car left in garage since that date, went to start on 17/6/2021 battery flat. What current is drawn from the battery while the car is left locked?

Honda Jazz Mk3 2015 - 2020 / Re: Recent News reference Halogen bulb ban soon

I only found out a year ago, when the house was changed to consumer unit, and had the compulsory safety check that lofts now have to be IP rated and the old 'bulb' is no longer allowed.

Changed to a IP rated LED batten and all passed.

possibly taller drivers are looking through the screen at a different angle so would not see the reflection.
I am 6' 1" tall and the reflections on my Mk 1 Jazz are terrible. They never prevent me from seeing what is ahead but were very annoying, to begin with. Now, like floaters in your vision, I seldom notice them.

I have two  trains of thought:
1)
for your courier duties, run the car with two independent batteries, the Lithium battery hard -wired via a changeover switch to the starter motor contactor relay, so the Lithium battery drives the starter motor and nothing else, you would have to charge the Lithium battery overnight on a mains charger to maintain charge state
.2)
For your 300 mile trips,  operate the changeover switch to isolate the Lithium battery so the standard  battery is the sole source of power to the starter motor and the rest of the car

I have both mk1 and mk3 (2004 and 2016) both cvt. To be honest from my point of view (not a pro!) I am finding the older one more reaponsive to gas pedal. The newer one when itís in D I really need to press the pedal hard to get acceleration. It is better in S and you can always press it down to the Ąsecond floorĒ. My husband is the main driver of the 2016 one and he can always achieve what he wants - merging, dynamic driving, overtaking - unless up the hill but thatís to do with the small engine, of course. That said CVT has no limits even if you donít like the way it responds to gas pedal alone you can always use paddle shifts (7 speed) and if you put it in S it enters fully manual mode and you are in full control. As for quality of gearbox alone - the car has now driven 145k miles and had no major issues. My older one is still under 100k miles I canít say much but again no problems with gearbox and I know the older one has the older / worse version of CVT

The CVT has a torque converter from early 2011 onwards. Honda petrol engines thrive on revs so don't be afraid to open the throttle and also make full use of the 'S' position on the gearbox selector this makes a surprising difference especially in your example of entering a roundabout.

I have a 2012 CVT.
100% reliable.
Superb in town.

I like revving to 5k every so often.(With or without CVT)
