Not sure if this link works but let's try. http://adobe.ly/2dlbEjZ

This is a gallery of my photos from an abandoned mining town called Bodie in the high desert between California and Nevada. I was there in the summer of 2016 and it was hauntingly beautiful.

We have slow worms in our compost heap.  They show up in the spring, this was in 2016 -

The wee ones were in the previous August.

These are nice creatures! We've seen some on our yard too, but very seldom.

Not exactly a photograph. This is my current desktop image.

The junction of Hanover St and Princes St, Edinburgh, 1953.

I recognise the Standard Vanguard Phase 1 and the Austin Devon A40, but the van is too indistinct.
I remember the trams in Edinburgh, especially the noise they made.

Here are a couple of my images of the new trams.

Lovely pictures Jocko. I had the pleasure of working in Edinburgh (Sighthill) and enjoying all the fun of the tram building works whilst they were going on. Finished that role around 2012 so never had the opportunity to use the things. Are they seen as being successful? Will more routes be built?

Thanks for the Edinburgh photo, Jocko.
I was brought up in Edinburgh 1951-59 and recall the streets pictured and the trams vividly.

Seems like a lifetime ago err.. Its is!

Seven years ago today, just a few minutes after I tore an Achilles hurrying back to the car to catch the ferry to Mull.  I drove another 8-900 miles before I got home, then it was several weeks before I sought medical attention.

A few weeks of wearing one of those boots, then I was fine. :)

Very nice. I grew up in Farnborough in Hampshire and have memories of the Red Arrows appearing at the bi-annual airshow and flying over my house!

You have way too many nice air shows in UK. I'm envious!  ;D

I just bought a FlyPast Magazine couple weeks ago and there was so many adverts about event's I'd like to visit!

Historic vehicle (>40y), doesn't need MOT. Age refers to building date, not first registration.

On one hand the Dept for Transport says:
Eligibility
You do not need to get an MOT if the vehicle was first registered more than 40 years ago and no ‘substantial changes’ have been made to the vehicle in the last 30 years.
but elsewhere it says Most vehicles manufactured or first registered.
Confusing. I always understood the first was the case. A colleague had a Capri manufactured 41 years previous but first registered 39 years previous and he was refused MOT exemption.
