Looks great Jocko, love the colour.

Remarkable depth of shine. Has it got any protection on at present?
Even the steel wheels look good.

NICE CAR !
I remember that model was voted "Car of the year" in Denmark. One of the motor magazines took it for a summer Holliday ride to Spain with two children and luggage. No problems at all- even though it had to struggle a bit in the mountains ;)
Today it is all about SUV with big wheels but this car has a lot off charms .
Cheers from Copenhagen

The upper bodywork (bonnet, hatch, roof, etc) was polished with Bilt Hamber Double Speed-Wax, this time last year. It is two years since entire car was polished. Usually about now I start to do what polishing I can manage. All depends on old stiff bones and the Scottish weather.
Steel wheels are actually pretty crap, but look not too bad until you get close. I wire brushed the worst of the rust off them, and treated with Kurust. They need to come off to get cleaned and painted properly, but I really need a spider and jack for that (I have the unused rubbish tools, supplied with the car, but they have never been unpacked and hopefully can stay that way).

That looks really nice Jocko, put's the rest of us to shame.

Great looking car Jocko.

One thing that intrigues me a bit about the Jazz (and Hondas generally) is that the softness of the paint doesn't seem to affect cosmetic appearance unduly. I think I've said before that I live in bungalow city and it is heavily populated with Jazzes and there are some very nice examples including a very smart 53 plate in pale green.

Popped car in for a wash this morning. The first time it has been washed since 6th of June. Not looking too bad for a 13 year old, 120,000 mile, runaround.

Is that an "Eastern European" special Jocko? I don't use them that often but my car was filthy inside and out after our latest jaunt to Scotland so I "treated" myself to a "Gold" wash at Tesco. They use autoglym Express Wax (commercial variant of aqua wax), clean the interior and I was delighted to be fair. I've never managed to get the inside as clean as they did.

Yes. That is all that is available round here. I was going to wash it myself, but I am getting too "stecky" to get to the sills and wheels!

Very impressive shine there Jocko, am intrigued by you number plate is it just for off road pics? From the pics it doesnt look like a legal format, or am I missing something?

A slight Photoshop to disguise my real "J0CKO" plate.

Wow Jocko that is stunning!!

You wouldn't say that if you saw it now. 2 months and 1500 miles since it was last washed. And it didn't get its full clean and wax the summer past.

Car is looking rather sad at the moment. Thousands of dual carriageway winter miles has not been good to it. The rust has got a good hold of the rear wheel arches.
I keep meaning to take it to my local Eastern European car wash, but it just seems a waste when the next day it will be filthy again. Kinda lost interest in it appearance wise. And the inside is just as maukit.

I do wash the lights and number plates every week or so.

I know what you mean Jocko as must many others on here. I look at my filthy car and think I must do the weekly servicing and give it a wash but at the same time you are saying to yourself, what's the point of washing it I'll just do the windows. We'll see tomorrow,it's supposed to be a bit warmer.

It's perfectly clean underneath all that muck, as is mine and most others.
The rust around the rear wheel arch seems to be a common thing as mine has the exact same thing. But then mine is also covered in bumps and scrap I from my lad's use and now my other lad's girlfriend's use. Doesn't seem much point fixing them these days on a car that old.

Maukit - great word. Just asked her indoors (from Motherwell) and it means filthy. Thought I was well up on Scottish words but hadn't heard that one.
