Title: Cruise Control / Dynad EAGLE Speed controller
Post by: philiph on February 15, 2019, 11:34:52 AM
Has anyone experience with installing this cheap speed controller / cruise control?

Do you reckon it's easy to install in a Jazz?

I may be wrong, but the device appears to maintain a fixed throttle opening, which is not really 'cruise control' as such.

I guess it could be attached to the Jazz, even the fly-by-wire throttle on the later models has a short cable to the throttle position sensor.

I guess you would have to inform your insurance company about this safety critical modification - something that has the ability to keep the throttle open without your foot on the pedal and not tested and fitted as standard by manufacturer.

Hi.
Yes you would need to notify your insurer of this modification.
Regards,
Dan.

I had one of these in my 80s camper van, worked pretty well but like the others say it just holds your throttle pedal, not the safest solution I guess.
