Title: Decisions,decisions!
Post by: happyjack on October 12, 2019, 05:26:54 PM
Hi all. Just stumbled upon this wonderful site and by the look of the posts, you have a great community going on !

Anyway..have been reading lots of info about the jazz and hope to purchase a 2016 model in the future. Thing is,can't decide between the SE or EX trim.

Any advice please?  ::)

Welcome :).  I owned at 2016 EX.  The main reasons were the climate control, height adjustable passenger seat and the sat nav.

I also hate reading through the owners manual and discovering things that I like but aren't included in the model I bought >:(.

I agree, get a lesser model and you invariably end up with gadget envy.

Welcome to the forum, by the way!  8)

I'm now on my 4th Jazz, all of them EX models,  the first was an I-shift, followed by 3 CVT models.
As others have said It's nice to have all the gizmos, for me the climate control and rear view camera were attractive options to have.
However the bottom of the range will still get you from A to B, in much the same comfort, so it all comes down money, you pays yer money and makes yer choice  :o

Thankful all for your warm welcomes to the forum.

It's good to see that many owners have been driving Hondas and returning to the brand time after time, says a lot about the reliability and quality of theses little cars!

I think it's the EX trim,if the budget allows.
The appeal of height adjustment on the seats ,rear view camera and all the speed limit guidance technology will help when taking the challenge of driving along the highways and byways of go old Blighty!

Thanks again,
Regards.

Climate Control is an odd one for me. I'd sworn I would never buy a car without it having had 2 Mk2 EXs and, prior to those 2, a Civic with dual zone climate change.

But when I was looking for an automatic I found my present car at just 9 months old and at a very decent price along with a better than expected trade in for my existing car. It was an SE. I went for it. I have to say I genuinely haven't missed it. I'm not over keen on it being a touch screen thing on the Mk3 although I guess we'll have to get used to these in time.

No, I.m not fussed either. You get used to where all the commonly used buttons are by feel, I don't fancy the idea of something you have to look at to adjust anything, particularly menu driven.

My near neighbour, in his 80s, always gets the top of the range of whatever car he buys. He hates the touch screen for climate control because you can't do it by feel like you can with a knob (sorry - button :P)

Ther are 100's of used Jazz 's at the moment try the ones in your local area then take look around Motorpoint / FOW /etc etc. Get the car that you enjoy driving always have HPI Experian check before giving you hard earned £.
