I've got quite a gap between my worst and best mpg figures. Worst was just over 31 mpg (actual) and best close on 56 mpg (actual).

I do a lot of motoring where the car doesn't reach optimum temperature. Overall, my mpg is 42 mpg over 3,300 miles.

I’ve driven over 700 miles this week from Suffolk to Tyneside and back via Huddersfield and York.  For the first time in this car I drove over 500 miles on one tank, 501 to be precise! The computer showed one bar and 28 miles remaining and the refill was 37.5 litres, approx 60 mpg.  The computer showed 65.  Average speed was 48 mph, the fuel was ASDA 95.  Extensive use of cruise control on duel carriageways undoubtedly helped, and there was some slow running as always on the M62 and the Doncaster by-pass.

In my experience in the Mk2, 350 miles was an optimistic range on one fill (32 litres from the fuel light coming on).

In my Mk4 I did a weekend round trip of 300 miles in June and then did another outing of 120 miles the following weekend all on the same tank of fuel, including a few short urban trips in the middle. I did 448 miles on 32 litres.

This weekend I'm likely to do a round trip of about 400 miles (also using M62 and A1). I'll top up the tank at my local Costco tomorrow morning. I probably won't need to fill up until I get back. In previous years with the Mk2 I've always had to refill before attempting the return trip.

A year ago today I got a Mk3 1.3 EX CVT.

In that year I've driven 8,500 miles at 52.6mpg (57.5mpg indicated).

There has been no noticeable change in mpg since E10 fuel was introduced.

50236 miles driven in just under 6 years.  Trip B has been running throughout and shows 58mpg and 34mph.  Fuel bought (mainly ASDA 95/E10) totals 4425.2 litres, giving an actual fuel consumption of 51.6 mpg.  Onwards to 100,000 if I live that long!

Great stats. I notice your average speed is 34 mph. Mine is usually about 18 mph and reflects the stop start stuff I do - the bane of fuel economy.

Yes, quite a lot of my mileage has been on the A14 and A1 between Suffolk, Yorkshire and Tyneside, making extensive use of cruise control, which is more economical than I am!  With this driving pattern, I don't think I would do a great deal better with the hybrid, because much of the time it would be in direct drive.

I think that's absolutely right. Hybrids ideal for my motoring habits but less so if you spend much of the time at highish cruising speeds. There's all that extra weight for a start.

I have a 2016 Jazz S 1.3 CVT with the Earthdreams engine. MPG on a run at approx 50-60mph gives mpg in the bottom to mid 60's. Gentle urban running usually 40 - 50's mpg. At least 20-30mpg overall than my previous 1004 1.4 Jazz Sport CVT.

Over 30,000 miles in mainly town driving we have averaged 44.5 MPG in our EX CVT calculated by measuring brim to brim. I have never bothered with the built in MPG guesstimator.

2016 1.3 S manual just covered 35 miles at an average of 67mpg.

If you are gentle and use the gears properly, you can get some great figures from these cars.

The best I ever managed with my Mk 1 was 70.9 mpg (calculated) over 234 miles.

Brim to Brim, mixed journeys, mixed drivers, 48mpg. Happy with that.
