Mine was fitted by Halfords 14,000 miles ago.  front and rear, both screen mounted.  Never had any issues and a lot less hassle that installing yourself.

Mine is attached with a suction mount. An adhesive mount would be far superior.

Re, mounting the rear camera, I agree mounting to the rear screen is not a good idea, due to vibration etc when closing the boot lid.
I have bolted my camera to the rear parcel shelf, as per attached photo and the power is taken from the power socket in the centre arm rest. I needed to use a spacer to raise the height to get an adequate view, within the wiped area of the screen.
I accept the limitation of driving without the parcel shelf in place for any reason, but I can live with that

My rear dash cam is fitted to roof by glueing a small clear smooth plastic square with a glass like surface  to fit suction pad  I used this instead of a glue black disk because it is less intrusive if you want to remove  cam at a later date this is at the edge of roof lining R H side looking at the rear of car, cable is routed under roof lining and down the side beneath the lining also to the  centre armrest, totally out of view and works perfectly and has not fallen off since fitted  some time ago early last year.
Thinking of registering a Patent, just kidding.
I would attach a piccy I am sure the description will suffice

Sorry folks not sure what I have done incorrectly here
