On Monday, my wife and I were returning from visiting her mum. As we travelled along the B925, from Mossmorran to Auchtertool, we met an HGV, followed by a line of cars which were following a large ewe up the centre of the country road. My wife said we better report it so I told her to dial 101. They were busy, so after a couple of miles, she hung up. She then said we should have gone up the track to the farm and just told them. I asked what farm road and she said the one we passed.
Now we drive this road 4 or 5 times a week, and I have never seen a track. The discussion got quite heated!
We come back the same road today, and I asked her to point out the track. She said you don’t really see it travelling in this direction, but you see it going east to west. I said we never go east to west (I have driven that way about twice since getting the car, both times alone). She said, yes, we do. That’s the road we use going to visit her mum.
So I pointed out to her that it is another road, about 2 or 3 miles away, and as different from the B925 as it could be.
Just as well she doesn’t drive.
