Front Brakes ?
« on: December 15, 2024, 05:46:43 PM »
Hello All.
I wonder if anyone can help.
I have a 2019 HRV sport , on 3 occasions I have had the drivers side front brake binding to the point wheel to hot to touch, removed wheel cleaned everything up after each event goes ok for a couple of hundred miles and binding again. Last night coming back home from Belgium, binding again making front of car judder and steering wheel. No warning lights on the dashboard.
I managed to pull over and guess what front drivers side again, managed to let it cool down and continued home no problems.
Any advice please beginning to loose confidence in the car

Seems as if some of the components (pad, disc and/or caliper) are damaged or slightly deformed. Instead of cleaning I would opt for a new set. Or you could measure and compare to the other side of the car to check whether that’s the case.
What does your dealer say about it?

I would recommend replacing the caliper as there must be some kind of fault with it.
