Stumbled on a clean Jazz CVT...
« on: November 30, 2024, 08:49:09 PM »
Long storey short, Ive stumbled upon a very clean Full Honda Jazz service history 26K miles unmarked! Ive no idea of the engine size but it does say i-vtec on the block ,petrol ,non hybrid, CVT. 2016 Ive all the paperwork. Any idea where to find out the trim level? It has the old tpms light on but i get the feeling its a common problem so I'm not too worried. I keep my cars a long time 200K miles and do most of the servicing myself. So I hope to learn plenty from the forum chat. I know nothing about CVT's {except DAF 66 's!!!), so open to any advice....many thanks in advance Nik

All 2016’s are 1.3 litre engines, the 1.5 Sport did not appear until 2018 model.

As far as trim it could be an S, SE or EX.

If it has 15in wheels with plastic trims probably an S, if it has 15in wheels with alloy rims probably an SE and if it has 16in alloys with climate control and tinted rear windows will likely be an EX.

Hope that helps

Go to vehicle score co UK enter your Jazz reg then scroll through the cars report it's free or pay a few £ for a complete vehicle check- worthwhile these days.

The MOT History check often gives the full trim level for recent cars:

Just make sure you change the CVT fluid with  genuine Honda  HCF-2  every 2 years or 25k miles whichever comes first and the transmission should last the life of the car.

Is changing the gearbox fluid as simple as youtube suggests...ie fill to the overflow bung. Any dip stick? Does the gearbox selector need to be exercised after? Any Gear box oil filter? Funny the car has just been serviced by Honda 28K miles 8 years and there is no suggestion a gear box oil change was done!Servicing the car seams very manageable. Im keen on Honda original parts..makes life simpler. Ta for the help Nik
